Common questions

How do I set up app intercept?
Open the app, go to More → Settings → App intercept, grant Screen Time access, choose the apps you'd like Mindful Drift to pause before, and turn on Intercept.

Why isn't the pause screen showing up?
Make sure Screen Time access is granted in your device Settings, and that Intercept is switched on for the apps you selected. A device restart can also help after first setup.

How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone to manage or cancel anytime.

Can I customize moods and redirects?
Yes — tap "Add or edit moods" on the check-in screen, or "Add or remove redirects" from Settings, to personalize both lists.

Mindful Drift was built with privacy as a priority. Here's exactly what that means:

What we collect

Mindful Drift does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All check-in data, mood logs, redirect history, streaks, and statistics are stored locally on your device using on-device storage.

Screen Time / Family Controls

To provide the app intercept feature, Mindful Drift uses Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls framework). This allows the app to detect when you open a selected app and display a pause screen. This data never leaves your device and is not visible to us, Apple, or any third party.

Advertising

Mindful Drift may display ads provided by Google AdMob to free-tier users. AdMob may use device identifiers to serve relevant ads, subject to your iOS App Tracking Transparency choice. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device, or by upgrading to Mindful Drift Plus to remove ads entirely.

Subscriptions

Subscription purchases are processed entirely through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment information.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your rights

Since your data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by deleting the app, or by using the in-app data management options in Settings.

Children's privacy

Mindful Drift is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
